DIY Bow Wine Charms (Easy Galentine’s Day Craft!)
Just when you thought you had seen the last of my little beaded bow obsession… I’m back with another rendition! And this time it’s Valentine’s Day themed! So if you are looking for a cute and easy craft to do with your galentines this season, or you are hosting a big group of wine drinkers, this is the perfect project for you.
Today I’m sharing this simple tutorial to make your own mini beaded bows and turn them into the perfect Valentine’s Day themed wine charms. Wine charms are so handy when you are entertaining to help your guests keep track of their glasses. So make a big set of these before your next shindig! Or if you have crafty friends, this is a fun project to set out and do while chatting and snacking with friends.

HOW TO MAKE BEADED BOW WINE CHARMS
STEP 1: Cut a piece of wire about 8 inches long. Bend the wire in half to make a “V” shape.
STEP 2: Add 6 beads to the right side of the wire.
STEP 3: Pull the end of the right side of wire back through the first bead (located in the middle of the V) from the right side to the left side. Pull the wire tight to form your first loop.
STEP 4: Add 5 more beads to the left side of the wire.
STEP 5: Now pull the end of the left side of the wire back through the same first bead (in the middle of the V) from left to right. Pull the wire tight and you should be left with two loop shapes. You may need to adjust the loops a bit now to make it look more like a bow, you can do this by pulling the tail ends of the wire tight with a pair of pliers.
STEP 6: Once you are happy with the top bow loops, add 3 beads to the end of each side of your wire tails.
STEP 7: Trim each side of the wire tails so just about 1/8in of wire is remaining. Take your needle nose pliers and bend the end of wire into a small loop to secure the beads in place. Repeat on the other tail of wire.
STEP 8: Next, open up your jump ring just enough to pull it through one of your bow loops. Close up the jump ring with your pliers. Open your wine glass charm ring and string on your jump ring.
And now it is ready to loop around a wine glass!
If you are creating a set of these for a party, be sure that all the colors are very different so that your guests can keep track of the color they have on their glass. You could even play around with your design and do some with multiple colors of beads!
I had a lot of fun making these with friends a few days ago while celebrating Galentine’s Day! And I can’t wait to use these sweet wine charms the next time I’m hosting a party.
